Moving to the Pittsburgh area?
Moving to a new area is fraught with enough problems, without adding the daunting task of shopping for a home plus finding the right Realtor. At Hanley Agency, Inc., I understand this, and I am an expert in relocation. I have a long history of finding buyers the right home by following a refined process guaranteed to make the most of your search efforts.
When most buyers go into home search mode - they may come up with 50+ listings to see. Naturally, that's too many properties to see first hand if you're on a short visit from out of town! I can help you to narrow your search down to 20-25 properties, with these things in mind:
- Before you get here, send me a couple of lists: One should be of things you must have. The other should be for optional things you want. When a house can't fulfill your basic needs, we can obviously take it out of the list.
- Have a set price range. This could be based on loan pre-approval or a reasonable estimate of how much you'll get from the sale of your present home.
- Consider drive time to your job or other interests. Traffic in the Pittsburgh area could be different than what you're accustomed to, so tell me how long a commute you're willing to undertake.
Before we meet in person, I could send you recommendations for properties we should see first. Or if you've got a list of properties in mind, let me know what you've found. While seeing listing photos on the web is invaluable, there's nothing like touring homes in person. I can schedule any necessary appointments and map a route. If we work efficiently, we could go to 8 or 10 homes in a single day.
