Relocating? Let me be your guide
Relocating to a new city is overwhelming by itself, without considering the daunting task of shopping for a place to live in addition to finding the right Realtor. At Hanley Agency, Inc., I understand this, and I am an expert in relocation. I have a long history of finding buyers the right home by going through a very specific checklist to help you efficiently narrow your options.
When most buyers go into home search mode - they may come up with 50+ listings to view. It should go without saying that's too many properties to look at if you're limited on time! I will help you to narrow your search down to 20-25 houses, with these tips in mind:
- Send me two lists a few days before arriving: One should be of things you require in your new home. The other should be for optional things you want. When a house can't fulfill your basic needs, we can take it out of the list.
- Have an established price range. This could be based on mortgage or a reasonable estimate of what you'll net from selling your current home.
- Think about drive time to your job or other interests. Traffic around Pittsburgh could be different than what you're used to, so let me know how long a commute you're willing to undertake.
Before we meet in person, I could send you my picks for listings we should see. Or you may already have some top candidates as a result of your own research. While seeing listing photos on the web is great, there's nothing like touring homes in person. Let me set up any necessary appointments and map a route. By planning ahead, we could tour 8 or 10 homes in a single day.
